FCS Struts Review
In our FCS struts review, we are going to consider the FCS 1331612R strut assembly. It’s features and why you should go for it.
FCS 1331612R Complete Strut Assembly
You’ll notice that the struts have a mirror finish when you first glance at them.
Apart from amazing aesthetics, they have a number of other characteristics that help them stand out. Let’s have a look at these features in more detail:
It provides precise control
The purpose of the struts is to guarantee that your car is balanced properly. It also means that you will be able to better control your vehicle. Additionally, if you can maintain proper balance on difficult terrain, you can drive at higher speeds.
This implies they can not only improve the ride quality but also allow you to go at a high speed. As a result, struts can assist you make your automobile go quicker while also increasing the ride quality.
It’s Easy To Install
One of the most significant issues with struts is that they are difficult to install. These struts, on the other hand, do not have this issue.
It is devoid of any type of spring compressor. It implies that the setup is not only straightforward but also quick. It will not be a challenge for you. You can install them in under an hour once you receive them. One of the main reasons why people choose it is because it is simple to use.
It makes ride conducive
Struts are designed to withstand longitudinal compression. It means that when the vehicle’s tires hit potholes or any other uneven terrain, they will endeavor to minimize vertical movement.
You won’t notice the potholes or uneven terrain inside when the vertical movement is reduced. These struts are capable of absorbing a lot of undesired movement.
As a result, they will be able to make your travel more pleasant. They withstand the test of time thanks to heavy-duty compression, even after being subjected to numerous tremors.
It means that they not only make your journey more pleasant, but also more durable.
OEM Quality
When purchasing any accessory or part for your vehicle, it is critical to consider the quality. OEM is the abbreviation for “original equipment manufacturer.” These are the businesses that manufacture parts for vehicle manufacturers.
They adhere to the most stringent quality requirements and ensure that their products pass any quality inspection. That is why, when purchasing parts for your vehicle, it is a good idea to get OEM grade parts.
The struts from FCS are of OEM grade. It means that, despite the fact that you’re buying and installing them independently, the quality is on level with, if not greater than, that of the original equipment makers.
As a result, their performance is also up to par. They meet all of the quality standards that automobile manufacturers adhere to when manufacturing vehicles.
As a result, you don’t have to be concerned about its quality.
Prepared for various models
You will be able to check whether it is compatible with your car model and manufacture before placing a purchase.
These aren’t your average struts. When you select your vehicle’s model, the struts will be calibrated to match your vehicle’s valve combination.
It means you won’t have any problems with compatibility. Furthermore, because they will be custom-made for your vehicle, they will be simple to install.
Simultaneously, they will be able to work with exceptional efficiency. There are very few struts that are custom-made for certain valving combinations. Another reason to choose struts over other options is because of this.
High temperature range
They generate a lot of heat because they resist movement. If the struts’ temperature range isn’t too high, they go through a lot of iteration.
Their structural integrity is also jeopardized. The struts, fortunately, have a wide temperature range.
It means that the struts can deliver a smooth ride quality no matter what your average speed is. At the same time, they can withstand the test of time and do not deteriorate quickly. It guarantees that you will be able to use them for a long period.
Heavy duty construction
It is preferable to look at the build quality while purchasing struts. The struts are finished in a mirror finish. Mirror finishes have the advantage of being aesthetically pleasant.
With the help of NOK seals, you can rest assured that any gas leak will be avoided.
They are made up of a strong chrome piston rod at the same time. The strong chrome piston rod is capable of withstanding a great deal of pressure and stress. It indicates that the structural integrity is higher. At the same time, Japanese oil is used in the struts.
The Japanese oil guarantees that the work is completely smooth and that the friction is kept to a minimum. It lowers the piston’s pressure once more.
With all of these features and superb construction quality, these struts are a no-brainer.
Gas charged design
The struts, as previously noted, withstand longitudinal pressure. The gas determines the resistance mechanism used in these struts.
Because the gas does not compress easily, they are able to absorb the motion. NOK seals let the gas to escape into the piston. It signifies the gas is still inside.
As a result, the piston rod can operate at the same level of efficiency for the rest of its life.
Because of the gas-charged architecture, it can withstand a lot of shocks and vibrations. When you consider all of these factors, it’s easy to see why struts are such a wonderful choice. We’ll also go over some advantages and disadvantages so you can learn more about the struts.

Who is FCS automotive?
FCS Auto Supply focuses on the Shock and Strut market as a key manufacturer of Ride Control Products. COVERAGE OF THE LEADING MARKET We are a global OE supplier with operations in more than 40 countries… We now design and manufacture shocks and struts for a number of OE firms throughout the world.
Which struts is better, Monroe or Gabriel?
The key distinctions between Gabriel and Monroe shocks and struts are that Gabriel shocks and struts ride firmer, whilst Monroe shocks ride smoother. Off-road performance is greater with Gabriel versions, whilst motorway performance is better with Monroe shocks and struts.
How long do Monroe struts last?
Monroe Quick Struts When in full working order, can last for up to 50,000 km. You shouldn’t have to worry about them breaking down or malfunctioning anytime soon if you maintain them constantly.
How long does struts last?
When it comes to shocks and struts, how long do they last? Under optimal driving circumstances, shocks and struts can last 5-10 years or 50,000-100,000 miles on average. Manufacturer, bad roads, big loads, towing, forceful braking, and aggressive driving are just a few of the conditions that might shorten the lifespan of these components.
How long does it take to install quick struts?
The replacement of struts takes roughly 2 to 3 hours. The time it takes to replace the struts is determined by the expertise level of the person doing the work and how rusty the bolts and joints are. If your struts are worn out, you should replace them immediately because they might cause further harm.
Will new struts improve ride?
The consumer may believe that new shocks and struts will merely make their ride smoother, but the truth is that they can do so much more. New shocks and struts can restore a vehicle’s ability to corner and brake as if it were brand new.
What happens if you don’t replace struts?
Because the vehicle weight might change (sometimes unexpectedly) while braking, worn struts result in greater stopping times and/or distances. Other sections of the body: Driving with faulty struts promotes tire wear as well as wear on other suspension components such as springs.
Is it easy to replace struts?
It used to be that replacing struts was a perilous job for a do-it-yourselfer. However, you can now purchase a full strut assembly that avoids the need to disassemble the strut, spring, and mount. In less than two hours, you can replace both of your front struts with these kits.
Can one replace one strut?
It’s not required, but replacing them in pairs, such as both front struts or both rear shocks, is normally suggested. If your automobile isn’t too old, though, replacing just one strut or shock absorber may be sufficient, as the opposite side isn’t yet worn out.
Are struts expensive?
The typical cost of replacing a pair of struts is between $450 and $900. If you only need to replace one strut, the repair will cost between $130 and $300, with labor costing between $150 and $300 for the pair.
How do I know if I have shocks or struts?
You might always check the suspension system portion of your vehicle’s manual if you have one. Both the shocks and the suspension will be near the tires. Vertical shocks will resemble a pneumatic pump. The struts are horizontal and appear to be nothing more than extensions of the wheels.
What happens if struts break while driving?
It must be fixed as quickly as possible. A strut absorbs the bounce of your car as it travels over bumps in the road. It will be highly uncomfortable for you and your passengers to drive with a broken strut, and it will be dangerous in an emergency.
What’s the difference between shocks and struts?
Shocks and struts are two completely separate pieces that do the same job. A strut can’t be used to replace a shock, and a shock can’t be used to replace a strut. Shocks and struts vary in that a strut is a structural component of the vehicle’s suspension system, whilst a shock is not.
FCS Struts Review On Amazon
The following reviews of FCS struts are from people who have purchased this product on Amazon. Go through it and learn..
Fio From United States Says:
It appears to be excellent value for money. I found the cheapest pricing. If you don’t want to disassemble your brake line, you may simply make a slot in the mount for it, as others have suggested. The only issue was that a third mounting bolt was missing from the box, which I didn’t find until after the strut was installed. It’ll be running on a Prizm 96 with 190K. I wasn’t going to worry about the strut being held in place by only two nuts.
Johnny From United States Says:
My 2001 Toyota Corolla fit perfectly. The right side went in without a hitch. I was having a lot of trouble getting the strut’s top studs to line up with the three holes in the wheel well. I read a number of reviews saying that lining up the two would be difficult, and I did. The misalignment was entirely my fault; you should mate the two parts such that the top of the strut is about parallel to the three-hole chassis. They will not mate if you come in at an angle. I gave it one more shot, and it went in without a hitch.
Everything went together without a hitch. Because my OEM struts have three studs and these only have two, I gave it four stars. A tiny bolt is provided to replace the third stud (this is because it fits other cars). So, once the strut is in place, use two nuts on the two studs, and the bolt will go into the remaining hole down into the strut’s top hat assembly.
Let me begin by saying, “These are econ rides, not OEM.” Google it. Second, when it comes to car repair, I am a complete amateur. To fix my car, I use YouTube and Google. So, there you have it. “With an impact gun, this was a breeze to install.” 2 Bolts at the bottom will not come off unless you purchase or rent an impact gun… They can be rented for a low price from ABC Rental Supply, and they can be purchased for $60 with a two-year warranty through Harbor Fright.
Now, as for the application, go ahead and spend the extra $10 on new sway bar links…. plus this strut only has two studs at the top instead of the OEM three, and on the 2001 prizm I was installing it on, you’ll need a way to “push up the strut in there” because it’s about 16th of an inch off holes. I just used an old pump jack and saved $700 over Mr Tire’s installation. Overall, I’m pleased; please contact me if you have any questions. Knowledge is a powerful tool!!
Cwm9 From United States Says:
This strut’s two studs were about 1/16 inch too far apart for my 2001 Corolla “.. I had to slightly enlarge the hole in the automobile to allow them to fit — 1/32 “for two holes that are oriented in opposing directions
Because the brake line holder isn’t at the same angle or location as the OEM strut, you’ll need to bend the brake line slightly to get it to match up. Instead of three studs, there are two studs and two nuts. Only one of the nuts is used. (The two nuts in the strut come pre-installed; the nuts in the bags are for the studs after installation; don’t try to place the nuts in the bags directly on the strut.)
Quickstruts are designed to be less difficult to use. These were effective, although the easier part is debatable. This is a shame, because the front pair on my Corolla fit well and were a pleasure to use.
Ruder From United States Says:
These struts should have been labeled as such because they are only suitable for warm weather settings. I’ve had these for two Minnesota winters, and the riding is terrible when the temperature drops below 20 degrees. It’s as if you’re riding on completely worn struts, bottoming out on roads where nice struts at a reasonable price would provide a better ride. I put a set of these on two Corollas and now I’m kicking myself for buying them.
They got good reviews, but your consumers had to be from the southern United States or Mexico, where the temperature never or rarely drops below freezing. Struts are of poor quality and clearly have not been tested in all weather and climate situations. When the weather is warm, they ride well on the Corollas, but truly, these should only be used above freezing.
