This means that if you’re in the market for a new RAM truck in the US, Canada or Mexico—or anywhere else in the world where they’re sold—you can find one at your local dealership and drive away with it just like any other vehicle.

Chrysler created RAM as its own brand after Dodge took over the company

In 1998, Chrysler was bought by Daimler-Benz and incorporated into the larger company. In 2001, after a period of turmoil for the American brand, Dodge was spun off from Chrysler and became its own entity again. In 2014, Fiat took over ownership of both Fiat and Chrysler from Daimler-Benz. RAM trucks are now sold alongside Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep and Fiat automobiles in showrooms worldwide.

The first version of the RAM was produced from 1981 to 1993 with minimal changes through the years

RAM trucks were first introduced in 1981 and remained in production until 1993. Over the years, RAM produced a variety of styles and sizes with different options for engines and colors.

In 1994, the second generation of RAM trucks were introduced, with a design that would last through 2001

The second generation of RAM trucks were introduced in 1994, with a design that would last through 2001.

The third generation of RAM trucks debuted in 2002 but didn’t undergo any major changes until 2008 when it received an updated powertrain and suspension system.

In 2002 a third generation was released and continued until 2008, when it was replaced by a fourth generation that included an optional hybrid powertrain

RAM trucks have been popular among off-road enthusiasts for decades. The brand has a loyal following and is sold in many countries around the world. RAM trucks are offered in a variety of sizes, configurations and powertrains with three distinct series—2500, 3500 and 4500.

RAM trucks are one of America’s favorite workhorse vehicles

RAM trucks are one of America’s favorite workhorse vehicles. They’re used in a variety of settings, including for work and recreation. Work-related uses include construction, farming and ranching, as well as transporting materials to job sites. Recreational uses include off-roading and camping. Families also use RAM trucks for vacations because they are comfortable and roomy enough to accommodate any size family.

Is RAM Making an Electric Truck?

In a surprise move, RAM is taking on the Tesla CyberTruck and even Rivian with a new electric truck. The company has patented the design, which means they are working on it but have not made any kind of announcement. There was no word if this truck would be part of FCA’s electric-vehicle lineup or if it would be sold under another nameplate (like Ram).

The patent covers two different configurations – both show an all-electric vehicle that can still tow heavy loads up to 12,000 pounds (5097 kg). One option is an extended cab with two or three rows of seating; the other shows an extended cab with just one row of seating and a flat load floor in back for maximum storage space. The latter would make more sense as an intermodal model for moving cargo between trains and trucks.

Called the Electric Rebel, it’s a pick up truck with an electric motor and battery pack..

The Electric Rebel is a pickup truck based on the RAM 1500, but it will have an electric motor and battery pack. It’s expected to be the first electric truck to hit the market.

The company has patented the design, which means they are working on it but have not made any kind of announcement

Kodak is a good example of why it’s important to take patents with a grain of salt. Kodak filed for patents on many technologies, but they often did so as a defensive tactic against competitors who were working on similar products. The company was rarely able to turn these ideas into actual products.

In this case, we don’t know yet whether or not Ram Trucks has any concrete plans to build an electric truck—but the fact that they’ve patented a design doesn’t mean much at all. It just means their engineers are working on such a vehicle and have made some progress in thinking through how it might look and operate; they could still scrap the idea entirely before moving forward with development and testing.

If built, it would be based on the RAM 1500

If the RAM 1500 were to be made electric, it would be based on this truck. The RAM 1500 is a full-size pickup truck built by Chrysler, who was acquired by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles in 2014. It’s been the best-selling vehicle in America for three years running and last year outsold its closest competitor by over 100k units. The current generation has existed since 2008, making it one of the longest-running full-size trucks on sale today (the Ford F150 has been around since 2005).

The history of this vehicle goes back much further than that however; it was first introduced as part of what became known as “Generation II” Ram trucks back in 1993. The Generation II series lasted until 2002 when we saw an all new model called “Generation III.” That generation lasted until 2008 when we got yet another new design called “Generation IV.” This current version has been around since then with an updated look every few years since then including two versions with different front ends (RAM 1500 Classic Edition and RAM Limited).

It would be the first EV pickup truck to hit the market if built

RAM would be the first major manufacturer to build an electric pickup. Tesla’s CyberTruck is the only one available now, but it has some limitations. It can only drive within 200 miles of its base, and it can carry only 5,000 pounds (2,268 kilograms) of cargo. The Rivian R1T and Rivian R1S are not yet on sale for consumers. They come with a price tag north of $50,000 USD (about £40k), though you get what you pay for: 4G LTE connectivity and dual 400-watt wireless chargers among other features that aren’t available in typical gas-powered trucks at this time—but maybe someday!

The Rivian R1 is currently being tested by a handful of fleets across America—including UPS—and it’s expected that these companies will eventually purchase hundreds or thousands more once they’re available in 2020 or 2021; however we don’t know if these orders will include electric pickups.*

RAM is working on a Tesla-CyberTruck competitor

It’s no secret that RAM is working on a Tesla-CyberTruck competitor. What you may not know, though, is that it would be the first EV pickup truck to hit the market if built. It’s also slated to be based on the RAM 1500—the company’s bestselling vehicle in America for years running.

If all goes well, we’ll see this new electric pickup truck hit dealerships sometime in 2020 or 2021. So far, it seems like the project has progressed pretty well and there’s reason to be excited about what could come of it once ready for production—but there’s always room for caution when dealing with any kind of prototype vehicle (especially one from an automaker).
